Wow, I literally JUST got an MG Kampfer, and a second spikey shoulder from R10.  I think FF is spying on me.
I'm in, I can't wait to be a member of the KKK...K (good thing it's a 'Krazy' competition, or I'd have to call the Southern Poverty Law center on y'all).  It'll be fun.

Most people who enter probably got them from the Amazon.com sale a while back. Another reason for the Komp.

Though, it is a good question - RainbowTen has them for $27.50

http://www.rainbowten.co.jp/english/

and HLJ has them for $34.30

http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN900366

and there are several available off the always popular evilbay...

Kampfer

In any event - this is exactly why we've set the completion date so far in the future - both to give me time to get my ass in gear, but to also give everyone who wants to participate some time to save to get either a Master Grade Kampfer, or if they already have one, somce knick knacks to really trick it out...

Looks like I'll be finally getting a Kampfer! I've been looking at getting one for a long while now and, well, I've finally got the motivation to get one.

All of these K's remind me somewhat of Mortal Kombat.

Okay, I gotta ask-  :?

It says:

4. Must be all new kreation unfinished at the start of the kompetition.

I have an MG Kampfer I built a couple years back in what you'd call the "no paint" style, so I didn't bother buying one from the Amazon sale. Back then I would have called it finished, but by my current standards it's very unfinished. If I take this unpainted model apart, rebuild it the "right" way, add mods and paint it, etc. is it OK for the kompetition?

I'm sure I'm not the only one who has a Kampfer they'd like to re-do rather than buying a new kit.

That is fine - #4 was more in reference to any person who may have a kampfer that he's already been working on, and is close to completion of it.  If you are going to tear it apart, and redo it specifically for this competition, then that fits this competition perfectly (though I'm not eligible, I've got two that I'm going to tear apart) .

It'd be sweet to have some custom "Skunk Works" decals to add to the kits.

Do you mean the warnings I designed for the MechaSkunk store or all new Kampfer-specific ones? :?

Sorry I wasn't specific.  I meant Kampfer specific ones.

Of course, if this has been discussed before let me know and I'll go do a search on it.  I wouldn't want to be a forum nub.  Big Grin

Alright, mike and I just discussed this, and we decided to try and drum up more interest in the comp, there will now be a best OOB prize - total still to be decided, but it'll be some sort of assortment of detailing parts from my store, to help you get past the OOB phase and into at least light modifications...

You create your own in progress thread in the KKKK section of the forum...

Are multiple entries allowed? Probably a stupid question, but no one else asked it yet. I've gotten tons of ideas since this was announced and am still trying to sort 'em all out.

I was also wondering which of the kit's thrusters Fulcy's K-Thrusters are intended to replace.

Sure, enter as many times as you want!  The more the better (and the more stuff I'll sell Wink ).

As far as the thrusters go - yes.  They are intended to replace all the thrusters on the Kampfer...
