Hi guys!! Received this kit from a new client,
I dun want to accept this commision work after saw what happen to it..
but my client keep asking me to help so .... I can't deny he's request...
The reason why I don't want to work on it cos...
he pass this kit to a model kits shop & it return as the following pics.... :em01:

The legs part:

The model kit shop (which now already close) join the left & right legs
to wrong position, even worst....  
the guy use superglue glue all the moveable join...

I really worry about how I'm going to work on this part,
those gaps really big enuf for me to put in a MG hands...

Was planning NOT TO POST all this photos here,
but thinking of there's might be some one else who try to find others ppl
to do some commision work for them, better think twice....

I heard my client said that this guy (who start building this kit) only ask for
around SGD120.... so... cheap rite?


(Lucky that this guy still willing to send this kit back to my client... if not?

i built this kit few years ago..horrible to do whereas my kit was OOB, so when i see that you must remake this kit (and of course, your client used superglue : ), i think you are crazy  

I kill the good result of my painting job when i try using pen for the panel lines...A big mistake... and the last time!
Maybe some photos can help you (but i built this kit when i was a newbie so i don't think so   ...)

Yeah I'm thinking the same thing.  Someone of your caliber shouldn't be fixing some n00b-cooked kit.  Charge him an arm and a leg I say.

Green light for your efforts!  I am all about salvaging old kits, whether they be my own or ones that I buy dirt cheap from people who are getting rid of their OOB builds.

Man, I know how working with that superglue goes... its pretty terrible.

Looks like you'll be able to save this one with some more work, can't wait to see the finished product!

Just finished touch-up the whole body & the waist part.




Mod the torso so that it can bend to front a bit, but it will become fixed pose.

I think that the kit, by itself, looks amazing. But considering the obstacles you had to climb over just to get to that point, it's extraordinairy. Seriously, erix, that looks fantastic. Inspiration for the rest of us who inherit "pre-built" kits.

Some up-date on the LED Mirage...

Since the back pack already superglued before sand,
this is what I only can do....


Saw the Kotobukiya MSG part in the back there?
I use it to cover the big gab & superglue...


And now... I finally know WTF that (12" MASTER") use to cover those gaps.....


I try to sand it but the wallfilla was very easy to fall off....
so I just hav to leave it there... unless,
I cut off everythng & feel it up again with miniput,
but it will took me ATLEASE 1 more week to finished it.









Start airbrushing... first time using Pearl color....
But looks like the pics can't really show the truth... pardon me. :cry:

Actually.... I am not sure about this old WAVE kit,
never build any Five Star from WAVE before...
But it just looks like the MOLD got some problem... (maybe it was the QC problem...)

Like the shoulder, U guys can see there was few something like riverts...
which I painted it to silver color, it's looks out of place or something,
just not balance to the other side.

And I just finished panel lines the waist part,
the right side skirt got a small panel line which facing slide to right,
than the left skirt also got another panel line which suppose to facing the left,
but it what I saw just now was facing to the right.

Do anyone here facing the same thing when U build this kit too?
