Darned..

It seems to actually be a Deathscythe Ver. Ka. instead of an Endless Waltz version..
I really would've liked it to be the other way around ._.

Both Deathscythe and MG The-O are now available for pre-order from HLJ with 15% off til June 7th. I pre-ordered The-O (10,200 yen).

Someone should tell me these things before I go and pre-order stuff at HLJ... oh well, I guess I can cancel it. AmiAmi doesn't do cancellations though... Just in case I'm selling a kidney tomorrow and putting that in my MG The O fund.

Well, seeing as how you don't have to pay them anything up-front, you could just, Oh, I dunno, not pay them when it came time, if you changed your mind.  Which is what I might end up doing.  Placed the pre-order there anyway  :)

Me likey!  Unicorn is turning out to be one of my most-liked Gundam series (hell, I've watched the first ep 6 or 7 times since it came out; for me to watch something more than once usually takes 5 or more YEARS in between watchings for me to enjoy it).  I've loved it every time, too.

I'm REALLY happy we're getting more MG kits from Unicorn.  Kind of disappointed it's a Rezel (but it makes sense, with the Commander type and other variations they can do).  Here's hoping for a Kshatriya.....   I know within a month of my shelling out for the resin 1/100 it'll be announced in MG, though....

Yeah, the ReZel is an odd choice... hopefully this bodes well for the Geara Zulu though.

I hope November brings something better. Not to hate on the ReZel but the design just doesn't interest me. A Stark Jegan woulda been nicer to me. So far this year's kits have kinda underwhelmed me. I like Wing, I like D-Hell Ka. and I like FA Gundam but... eh, the only kit I -really- want is The O.

I'm in love with the kits from Gunpla Builder's Beginning G. I really want that Beginning Gundam the Zaku and the Bear Gogg.

Wow, sexy!
I like that it's a pretty personal version of the design.

I just got my MG The-O from AmiAmi... oh man, the box art is just... beautiful. If I could frame it and put it up on a wall, I would.

EDIT: Does anyone know if MG The-O is the first non-variant MG to use dry-transfers and water slides only? Outside of some matte black bar stickers there are no stickers, all decals are water-slides and dry-transfers.

I just finished the pre assembly on my The-O yesterday and mine has stickers and dry transfers.  The sticker backing looks like Water Slides but they are stickers.  The only Bandai kit that I have seen that includes Water Slides is the 1/35 Zaku head.

Here is what I thought of the kit.  The kit does look cool and it's massive, almost as big as the 1/100 Kyshatryia but there are a lot of things that could have done better considering the price.  Some parts should have been broken down to prevent tedious masking.  Mainly all of the little rectangular thrusters.  Just a few seems but the one that piss me off is the one that splits the head right down the middle.  I would have thought they could have avoided that one.  Articulation is OK but I wouldn't expect a lot due to the design of the MS.  The frame is OK also.  Even though I don't plan on displaying with the armor off, the seems right down the middle of the major parts is annoying.  Bandai didn't even fill them on the display kit.  They should have made them panel lines which is what I will probably do.  Another thing that is annoying is the red cable parts, they are made of polycap material making it very difficult to get rid of the flash,.  That stuff just doesn't sand easily. I replaced the ones around the waist with metal cable option parts.  It's kind of like the MG Saz, such a cool MS but I feel that Bandai fell way short of a spectacular kit.  If they would just put the same effort into every kit like they did with the Sinanju, probably one of the best engineered kits out.

Well that my little review of The-O  I will get a WIP going on mine soon.  I think I have like 5 projects going at once right now.  It's to dam hot here to be working in the garage so I have been inside doing a lot of snapping and sanding.

I also got mine from AmiAmi, they had the best price with shipping and EMS was only $5.00 more.

You're right, they are stickers... dammit, they pulled a switcheroo!

Also, yeah for 12,000 yen I'd say it's not worth the money. The cheaper PZeong or Ex-S seem like total deals by comparison... thankfully I got it from AmiAmi too so at 8,700 it wasn't too bad.
