OMG SHINY!!! Well...I will definately be buying this in the near future >.>

Not even for the shiny, more for the better stand, along with being able to display all the DRAGOON bits like that! I want it now! >.<

OOH!!! VERY SHINY   ! I'm very suprised at what they've done to this. I'm really tempted now. It's the basic kit with the special feture add-ons right? Might as well turn the ol' fredom into justice   .
ou don't need to be hot to model, You just need the right tools.

Am I the only one who doesn't think it's all that "sexy"??  :?

Seriously, the AoZ fiver and the upcoming 1/48 Savoia late version interest me much more than this...not to mention the Yamato...

I'm with you major, I think it looks lame, like a toy.  I for one loved the design of the Freedom, a design that was completely ruined by the Strike Freedom and its bling.

But I hadn't heard of the Fiver, are talking about the AOZ Gaplant, or the full Fiver w/ Gaplant?

Not heard of the Fiver??  It's the HGUC fiver core that's coming out very very soon.  8)

Isn't that just the 'core' of the fiver, I thought the full fiver was this...

Edit:  Nevermind, I just re-read your post a bit closer.  I just thought that the 'core' was still called the Gaplant, and the 'Fiver' was the full unit.

Major and Captain-

I'm with you, the strike freedom looks chintzy in my opinion. Maybe we can put some 22-inch spinners on it and some airbags so it can hop. WOOOOOOOORD!!!
 Yes, my screen name is Funaka, but I'm actually Mexican... Leave gold-plated internals where they belong, on sweet 64 chevy lowriders!

I don't like the flying things on clear plastic rods look, in general. It's like when people make funnels or bazooka rockets on the end of clouds of smoke. Unless its really well done it adds a glaring level of "unrealness" to a model. This model gets lost in its funnels...

I actually really like the funnels >.>

And your thoughts about the Gold plating dont make a whole lot of sense to me. I mean the Hyukushiki is like 90% gold and no one has ever accused it of being bling. Oh well doesnt matter everyone has their own opinions ^_^

A. The Hyaku Shiki came about before the whole "bling" thing took off.
B. "Bling" isn't a gold colored car. "Bling" is a (whatever) colored car with gold accents and gold rims.

... But you're right... It's a matter of opinion.

Yea I knew someone was going to point those out even as I was typing it...but I went ahead and typed it. I dont know...one could argue that the Gold is for better transfer of electricity or something like that, then of course someone could counter it by saying that it wouldnt be needed on the outside of the frame...but hey I think it looks good so i'll just go with it. ^_^

Dangit, Mr.Maigo, it's N-Jamming, get your Gundam universes right!     (Actually I haven't even seen Destiny, maybe they have Minovsky particles!)

Zerobxu- thanks for having my back on this one.  8)

Now can we get back to talking about important stuff like finding some better pictures of the MG Hi-Nu Gundam???

The N-Jammer would go pffft....  Then the Sun God Ra would become angry, and cast drought and famine upon our villages, and locusts in our fields.  I mean duh, you can't hurt Ra with an N-Jammer, haven't you ever taken a science class? :P

From Gunota:
Quote
This month's hobby mag news
Early info being reported on 2ch:
HGUC Gundam GP-02A (MLRS specs) - with 6 rocket launchers + additional boosters on the back, & newly-designed beam bazooka, end of January, 2,310 yen
HG Civilian Astray DSSD Custom - February, 1,575 yen

Pics of some of those:

The Hi-Nu is looking pretty nice but is priced at 7,350 yen...
That GP02 custom comes as a surprise.

That Hi-Nu prototype looks pretty tarty! Don't like the beam rifle though...
