Getting a welded look?
« on: April 08, 2006, 10:29:00 PM »
So I was looking at the Blaze ZAKU kit I started on today and while I don't plan to add anything to the kit other than a custom color scheme, I starting to think about trying for a welded look on some of the seam lines on a 1/60 Strike I have sitting around. (Seems liek kind of an odd way to go from a ZAKU kit to weld lines on a Strike, but I think in strange ways)

I seem to remember seeing someone do a tank kit with a welded look back when I was lurking the forums, so I was wondering of anyone knows a good way to get a welded look, be it using putty or cement. I don't care if it would look rough or dirty since thats kind of the angle I'm leaning toward. Something a bit more industrial than the average Gundam.

Awesome, that is absolutly perfect. I'll play around with that  and see about applying it to my Strike after I practice it. Thanks a bunch. :)
