Hi, I'm new here.  I have a question on spray painting white.  Usually I spray a layer of Gray Mr. Surfacer, and after it's dry I spray paint a layer of white (my intended color), but somehow it always doesn't go on to it...and when I spray too much, it's too watery...
Is it because I'm using Spray cans instead of Airbrush?

Not sure. Is the spray can old? What kind is it? Where are you spraying it/what's the temperature? How far away from the part are you?

All of those can be factors. I don't use spray cans of paint myself but have noticed these being a factor when using primer or spraypaint.

I find when can spraying white, its best to do it in short bursts, too long and it gets all watery and you get those nasty bubbles.

Must white be such a pain to work with?

Yeah, that's exactly my problem...

Now I'm trying to first paintbrush it with white underneath first...after a few layers of paintbrushing, I then I apply spray (Man, this technique is taking too much time, I think I really need to get na airbrush).

Thanks wildrogue.

The few times I have used white, I lightly sand the peice first, spray, let that dry completely, the another light coat. Don't over do it, spraying white just takes some getting used to. Ohyeah, and make sure to post what your making too, I wanna see how this turns out.

PS: Keep hand brushing alive!
