Been doing a few experiments to get the Hyaku-shiki's bright yellow gold but all attempts failed.  Sad

Here is what I have done so far:

Gloss Black(2) -> Silver(Cool -> Clear Yellow
Result: Too light for goldl.

Gloss Black(2) -> Silver(Cool -> Clear Yellow(75%) + Clear Orange(25%)
Result: Too much orange.. the "gold" is too dull.

Gloss Black(2) -> Super Silver -> Clear Yellow(75%) + Clear Orange(25%)
Result : Too dark also. With a tint of Green in the gold too!!

Gloss Black(2) -> HyakuShiki Color Set Gold 1
Result: Really really dull gold!! Worst than any gold I have seen!

Gloss Black(2) -> HyakuShiki Color Set Gold 1 -> Clear Yellow
Result: Really really dark yellow..  :cry:

White(1) -> HyakuShiki Color Set Gold 1
Result: Looks like plated gold... eeks!

Gloss Black(2) -> Silver(Cool(80%)+ Gold(9)(20%) -> Clear Yellow(75%)
Result: Yellowish but there is a tint of green in the gold!!  :shock:

So to date I have not gotten the correct gold for my Hyaku shiki...

Also, I know silver is best when used with a layer of gloss black underneath, but what about gold?

So, any comments or suggestions please?  Sad

Have you tried changing the clear yellow + clear orange ratios?  Like 50-50 or 60-40?
I did a mix of 60% yellow + 40% orange over alclad chrome for my 1/100 Hazel conversion kit: http://www.gamerabaenre.com/hazel_prog.htm  Not sure if that will help any.

Not really a suggestion as to how you can ge thte colour but.. why not try another shade instead of GOLD gold. like.. titanium? mix some mr metal chrome and mr metal copper? hmm.. but it'll never give you a mirror effect

I have yet to try a way to mix gold... from advise given from a magazine.

We all knew that gloss black is best base colour for silver.

But what is the best base colour for gold?

This is a suggestion gotten from 4Chan, so take it with a grain of salt:

Alclad 2 Gold + Alclad 2 Pale Burnt Metal = Hyaku Shiki Gold...

Believe this or not.... but that was posted by me. LOL I have the pale burnt metal and mixing it with some gold will give it a very nice color.
