Hi everyone, so im looking at getting a compressor that just suits model painting but is low cost because im on such a low budget... so i was looking at the Iiwata Silver Jet, but i was hoping that someone outthere could perhaps fill me in on how well it would work for this purpose? or any suggestions on something that would suit it better. Thanks

If you're looking to save money... look at "regular" compressors. Meaning, not hobby-specific compressors. Go to a hardware store, or walmart, or whatevermart you have and check them out.

That's basically the same thing I have running right now - a compressor that fills an air tank (actually, it's two air tanks - the compressor is mounted to one, and the other is seperate, so it can be taken with me).  That's an idea you could try - just get a tank, and have it refilled.  I dunno if regular air from a tire filling station would do for airbrushing, but in the short term it'd be the cheaper alternative (except for the inconvenience of having to take the tank to get it filled - and the possibility of it running out halfway through painting).  Just remember to hook up a regulator and moisture trap to the tank, so you can control the pressure of the air coming out, and the you can remove most of the condensation and moisture that gets in the compressed air, so it doesn't ruin your paint...
