Model Talk / Mg Strike + IWSP

I Completely agree with most of what has been said here. Even though I may  not have the experience. I was just kinda put back at how the toes on the Strike can touch the shin and how flimsy the ankle feels. I will do some modifications  to remedy this. My opinion is relative though, I have an ez8 and a zaku variant that are much worse offenders.
I mentioned the mk2 v2 kit here and how much i liked the feel and quality. Am I right to assume that all of the "V2.0" kits are similiar to it? Are there amymore that have been engineered closely to it?

This is my first time posting m y impression. I dabbled  when I was younger but  overall Ive only assembled 4 master grade kits. So I am not very experienced. Its just I recently Put together an mk2 and I was amazed at the difference from the ones that i had just snapped together before. Im probably being too harsh. The ankle on the mk2 is much more sturdy. Its not just because it has "pistons" ( i dont think they do anything anyway). It just seems more durable.

I dont really understand the highliting part. I get the shadow and the base layers. where would you mainly use highlights? In the center of the larger peices?

I know it's showing as "out of stock", but you might do well to track down this mook: "I Love Gunpla". It does a very nice job--through pictures--of explaining the shading process.

I did. It convinced me to stay away.
Im probobly just spoiled after building the mk2. The strike kit is actually not too terrible, it just not of the same calibre.

I preassembled this kit today and I have to say that Im not too impressed. The ankles, while being double ball jointed, are thin and weak. The whole kit just seems weaker compared to the mk II v2 ( Which is very well engineered and designed) . Its like they just took a no grade kit , changed the scale, added a few gimmicks, and released it as an mg. It is unfortunate because I was really looking forward to this kit because it has tons of weapons. I had assumed that since this is the most recent release that Bandai would build upon the strengths of the previous kits and progressively improve thier designs. I wonder if the Aile Strike is the same
The mk II v2 was so well made in my opinion.  Im afraid I dont have as much experience with various kits as most of you. Is there that one kit that you feel Bandai really put alot of thought into? maybe a few? I apologize if this is the wrong forum.

Whenever  attempt to use It I dont get overflow of plastic oozing out of the seem. what is wrong here? I read somewhere that it is advised to wait 24 hrs to sand, could a CA accelerator like Zip Kicker be used to make it cure faster or is it the plastic that needs to settle?

Iam starting out and I have quickly learned that master grade class kits are alot better than high grade. So I keep attempting to biuld Mastergrade kits but, something bad like a mistake or a missing/broken part always gets in the way. I believe I need to practice more but I cant really afford to buy alot of MG kits. The Hg and HGUC kits are alot Cheaper. Should I get 5 or so kits to practice on? Are they any good? I have heard that they can be a real pain to assemble and dont turn out as well as the MGs. Are there any in particular that stand above the rest ?

Painting/Priming / Airbrush, Airbrushing, and Compressor Questions

I have an Iwata HP-C. It tends to Stop the paint flow after about 5 seconds of continouis spray regardless of the position of he lever. I thought that  the paint was to thick but i even tried 50% alcahol with tamiya mix and it still happens. it works fine for 5 seconds and is consistant then it just locks up till i release and pull the lever back again. Any suggestions on how to stop this?

I was browsing Hobby lobby today and I found a product  by SIG called Sanding Sealer. I think this may be an alternative to mr surfacer if it is unavailable. It is in a Jar aswell. they also make a "supercoat thinner" that is compatible with it. I tried using it and it is fairly thick, so im going to experiment with some of that thinner

its not really a problem with the tutorial. its just i cant seem to find lineart to even use. i scanned the color chart but it is colored and I am unable to select  the colors properly because the image is made up of  multicolored dots. I need Wing gundam kai lineart.

I have a scan of my wing dundam ka painting chart. I have opened it in photoshop to colorize it but i cannot get it to work. I cannot get it to look like the image you are starting with in your tutorial. I am guessing because of the printing the lines are not solid enough and it tends to bleed to other sections.

I figured it was a joke so I just went along with it. It turns out that I dont need additional instructions. I find that I can put them together easily without them. I was just scanning the manual before assembly  and I forgot not to worry about them.
