Nice work! Glad you made a list of the little bits and pieces you added... I'd just assume they were details in the mold or came with the kit. The back panel and the motor really catch my eye... loving the washes. Definitely deserves a base. I guess if I had one complaint it would be the elbow and knee areas. More of a complain with the kit than your work. I just prefer that bunched up almost accordion look. Probably because I'd love to see more of that wash/weathering around those areas.

Models / Model of the Month/Year / Vote for FFF 2008 Model of the Year!
|
on: March 19, 2009, 06:11:13 PM

First of all, I apologize for the delay in posting this. We're doing things a bit differently this year. There were so many runners up last year (56), that we had to go back to the voting and just decided to throw a select few into the mix with the MOTM winners. 8 runners-up made it to the finals, so we only have 20 to choose from. The RulesThe rules are simple this year. Each member gets one vote and the poll will be open for 2 weeks. Here are the entries... please look at ALL of them before casting your vote and give some thought to it. Don't make it a popularity contest. Vote for what you think was the best in all aspects. 1: <Completed> It was a Lunapawn.. now it is an Hard Boiled AFS http://fichtenfoo.net/forum/index.php?topic=3634.02: G-System 1/100 Deep Striker http://fichtenfoo.net/forum/index.php?topic=3648.03: Gundam - 1/100 MG RGC-80 GM Cannon ver OYW conversion http://fichtenfoo.net/forum/index.php?topic=3803.04: 1/220 Kondo Gera Doga http://fichtenfoo.net/forum/index.php?topic=3863.05: 1/100 GUNDAM EXIA ver nath http://fichtenfoo.net/forum/index.php?topic=3993.06: Galapagos Girl http://fichtenfoo.net/forum/index.php?topic=4029.07: Garbaldy COMPLETED ! http://fichtenfoo.net/forum/index.php?topic=4125.08: 1/144 GN-X http://fichtenfoo.net/forum/index.php?topic=4157.09: Steam Gear "Adamant" http://fichtenfoo.net/forum/index.php?topic=4287.010: MSA-0011-XXXX PLAN303E Deepstriker Perfect Custom http://fichtenfoo.net/forum/index.php?topic=4368.011: HGUC 1/144 Qubeley http://fichtenfoo.net/forum/index.php?topic=4436.012. 1:24 vignette "the Dustbug" http://fichtenfoo.net/forum/index.php?topic=4473.013: Project Z Ver.Ed (II) http://fichtenfoo.net/forum/index.php?topic=4143.014: Scratchbuilt Flyer http://fichtenfoo.net/forum/index.php?topic=4004.015: It was a P.K.A. Do you have Word? Something like that could easily be made in a simple text editing app. Just place some text in a one cell table with a black border. Or heck, copy that image, place it in some text editing app and reduce its size to the scale you want. Should be fine. (Just remember to keep the same ratio when you scale it down.)
If none of that works, I'd be glad to take a few minutes and create a file for you.

Glad to hear you got such good feedback and were invited to some other expos. Well deserved! Thanks for posting the in-progress for those of us that don't visit maschinenkrueger.com as often as we should. Personally, I don't have much more to add to the conversation. Great care and craft as usual. The one thing I don't think anyone else commented on that I really like about that armored PAK unit... you added the visor openings. Nice touch.
