2 part epoxy glue would do the trick for you. :)

Squadron putty and nail varnish remover is perfectly fine to use on resin kits. Resin is pretty resilient to chemicals, which is why I like resin kits so much. They can withstand very strong lacquer thinners which makes resin kits great to practice with because of how easily you can strip the paint off.

Grinding up the salt will definitely work better for the scale, and I think you should focus the salt on the edged areas, as they'd naturally be the first parts to wear that aren't caused by collisions.

Hey Kane,

How thin is the stuff? I think it could possibly not be a resin type of plastic. I would have thought a nice sharp scalpel/blade would do it if it's what I'm thinking of. Is it like the stuff soft drink bottles are made from?

If it's actual cast resin, I use scribing saws to denub and then clean it up with a sharp blade.

Another Bust!

Finally putting up a WIP of this, not much in the way of pictures yet as still doing a bit of clean up and prep to ready it for painting, but I thought I'd start a WIP as they tend to spur me on a bit.  Tongue

Painted with Plamo Colour again of course, not sure about the colours yet but I'm thinking about using these as the main colours:

Bright Red (chin piece and area under the eyes as well as various small details, and the unicorn base)

Golden Yellow (v-fin and some small details)

White with a small tint of purple (courtesy of mtomczek's 1/72 Nu-Gundam)

Dark grey with a small hint of purple again.

I'm gonna try and have it done by the end of this weekend, but I know how that turned out with my last kit.  Tongue

So I've finally finished this...  Tongue

I'm really happy with how it turned out, but I did get a bit lazy with some parts, and it's my first time using more than just a few decals and using decal solution too.

25 Celsius is perfectly fine. The room I store all my shop paints in, and I mix them up in often hits 32 Celsius and it doesn't have a detrimental effect on my paints at all. So that's many many litres/gallons of paints, thinners, primers and other things that are fine in the heat. Big Grin

Nice! I love this kit. As soon as I saw the Starfish II in Cowboy Bebop, I started looking for model kits of it. Big Grin

Maybe it's just the shipping out of them or something? If you're having a hard time getting them though you should check out my Plamo Colour paints, they're a lot cheaper per ml than other modelling paints and are very high quality.
