Oh I wish I had gotten one. If only I had more money...

From the pictures the packaging and presentation alone is breathtaking. It's even hand signed and numbered  :twitch:

Oh, I see now that the depth of the hole for the minus mold is the depth of that cavity. That makes a lot more sense. Great job so far....when do you think it's going to be done? Don't rush it too much because I really enjoy all the WIP pictures  :D.

Wow, the detail on it is really good. Quick question, how did you make the minus mold cavity and how did you drill the two small holes right next to it. The flat piece looks thin so I was wondering how you managed to do that without drilling through it.

Not sure how car modelers do it, but I would imagine you could use the same technique used for Gundams with lighting in the head. So basically just paint the inside black.

This is a very interesting design. The lanky design reminds has a nice organic feel to it. I saw this on the E2046 forums first actually, but very well done. The paint job and base go really well together. The only thing that kind of bothers me is the looks almost like a rooster hat or something

Looks interesting.

What I would give to be able to read Japanese.

While that would help for most kits, the instructions for this kit is in Korean

It seems like the only color you didn't try was red . I think red might work well there.

Looks nice. The mods are well blended. The only suggestion is that you should have included a third color, maybe a light gray or light blue just so it's not start contrast between the blue and the white.

You stayed true to the style of the manga and the base really adds a lot of depth to it. The shading job is very well done and your attention to detail down to the metal detail part at the end of the gun is well done. I can't believe this is just your first figure!

The mods came out really great and blend into the design very nicely. I really like the masking and paintjob, especially the gradient of the orange.

I couldn't find Purple Power, so I ended up getting Industrial Purple by Zep since I figured it would be similar to Purple Power. I followed the instructions on the container and diluted it down so it should be ok.

Assembly/Scratchbuilding / Cleaning Resin Kits
« on: January 15, 2008, 11:27:18 AM »
I was wondering about cleaning resin kits to remove mold release. I've heard a lot about CSC, but also that it's no longer available to purchase. So what other products are available to clean the resin kit? (I tried looking for Purple Power at a lot of different places but didn't see it). Oh, and I'm in Ohio right now if that makes a difference as to which cleaner/degreasers I can obtain.

No, I don't think that's a Microman. I think it's an artist's wooden mannequin.

I like the color scheme, but the only thing is that the paint looks pretty thick...

The biggest thing that stuck out was the replaced thrusters. If I'm not mistaken, they are BNC connectors, right? Personally, I don't really think it looks like a thruster at all, but that's just my opinion.

Simply amazing...the level of detail is impressive. The eyes are well done as is the shading and pretty much everything else :D. The luster of the hair looks nice too. Glad to see you managed to solve the problems you encountered along the way.

Model Gallery / Re: Deep Sea Diving Z'Gok *Fixed*

I'm pretty sure that was the intended purpose...

The concept was to make the Z'Gok look like an old school deep sea diver wearing an atmospheric diving suit.

This is just a theory, but most likely because of proximity. With the atomic bazooka, you can take a shot from a long distance, while the critical mass thing you would need to actually be very close (akin to the actual kamikazes from WWII).

The nuke is the same as the one from the GP02A if I'm not mistaken. In Gundam 0083, the GP02A required the huge shield and even after firing the nuke it was still really badly damaged. I think this suit would be more of a suicide suit, hence the name. Therefore, getting out is not really a concern.
