Painting/Priming / Airbrush, Airbrushing, and Compressor Questions
« on: December 03, 2006, 04:16:40 AM »
You take the kit appart as much as you can. Most if not all MG's armor pop off, If you want perfect edges on the armor you're gona have to mod it so it all slips off in one peace

I'm spraying a kit now, if you want I'll start a wip for you

I have one pre built sitting on my shelf. When I look at  it, I do NOT see that kinda potential.

Hi D:Fuse:
Sanding is not required, only if you find a defect that you wish to fix. The primer allows you to see defects which you may have missed.

So if I see a mistake, I sand it again, and after fixing the mistake I blast it with primer again?

Yup, the primer gives you a consistant base color to work with. Very helpful if you're painting one color over another colored peace

Its not THAT small of a peace, a 3/0 brush could do that fairly well

Well, there's 23 people wanting at least 60 (I voted 3 but I think I might want 4 now  )

Easiest thing would probably be to cut them off, drill out a hole, and replace them with some metal tubing - paint the tubing, then insert into the hole...

Doesn't SOUND easy...

Two choices. Paint the red by hand, mask it, clean around it carefully then paint white. Or paint the white, then mask around it and paint the red how ever you like

ebay item

MOD EDIT:  link url too long, please use tags properly next time

Just curious if this would be OK to use? It's rather cheap it appears .....

Do you think the quality of the product is up to par?

I just got that Powercat combo. It works alright, the compressor is a bit weak, overall its alright. Something to learn on *shrugs*

Make the feet that dark gray or blue you used and you've got a very nice scheme.

I gota agree. You can still make the connecting bits of the ankle protector orange
