Model In-Progress / scratchbuilt M72 Lakota
« on: January 06, 2009, 07:36:20 AM »
Hey Guys;

Here  is something i'm working on, since the last week. It is supossed to be the M72 Lakota. A small 4x4 vehicle used by the Federation. it is equivalent to the Zeon's Sauropelta (Gundam Hardgraph). I base my building in the one that can be seen in the new CG OVA MS Igloo 2 (the gravity front) and some scans from the Hobby Japan magazine. Btw you can watch the OVA in You Tube.

The build is 1/35 th scale, and i used as a base the 1/35 M151A1 Chasis from Academy. By now i have used plenty of plasticard and patience.

Here some pics of the advance so far.

I hope you like it. there is a lot of work to be done.....details, filling, sanding, etc.....

I'm feeling i'm going to give it a rough priming to see it in an uniform color and start the detailing.

I'll be waiting for your feedback  :lol:

P.S. In a while i'll be posting a more detailed in progress pics.

Model Gallery / 1/35th Israeli Shinden Diorama
« on: May 20, 2007, 01:41:50 PM »
Hi everybody:

here is my last work..... i hope you´ll enjoy it.

This diorama tries to represent a Israeli shinden under some field manteinance operations.....

As per a brief story: Due to the success obtained by the japanese TA (tactical armor) deployment during the Belgistan campaing (Gasaraki anime series), some countries aquired this weapon to enarge their respectives armies.... one of them Israel.

As Usual Israel defense force modified the shinden (as the do with their whole tanks or so), including some new electronics, a more powerful weapon (multitube gun), and handles all over the mech......

Ok..... lets talk briefly about the model:

The mecha: Is the 1/35 Shinden Bandai model kit. Nuts, bolts and handles were added all over the model, and the left leg was modified to expose the internal mechanism, Some hoses were included to the modified leg.  Also, dust cover were sculpted over knees, wrist and ankle joints.

The gun: Brass rods and the muzzles of a Heavy arms gundam were used to turn the gun that comes with nthe kit into the powerful multitube gun.

Tools: Verlinden, Aber, and Italeri kits were used for this purpose (photoetched)

Some scratch: The laptop and the assembli manual are fully scratch built.

Accsories: Crates and some other stuff used are from my spare box.

Figures: they are the Academy IDF tank crew withsom mods..... new head and arms and modified postures.

well, let´s cut the chat by now...... here is the album link

I hope you will enjoy

Model In-Progress / 1/144 RGM-79N (scratchbuilt conversion)
« on: April 04, 2006, 03:25:01 PM »
Hi Guys;

Last weekend while i was waiting for the magic sculp to set on my Kestrel model (GB3) I primed my 1/144 th scracthbuilt conversion of a RGM 79N custom GM.

I used a HGUC RX 78 and a old NT1 Alex, plent of epoxy putty an patience......

- The main core is from the NT1 and the waist from the  RX78, both were modified to fit each other.
- Shoulders are from scratch.
- Feets are part NT1 and part RX78
- Legs are from the RX78 with two component epoxy putty for the knees and calfs.
- Arms from the NT1 thinned to eliminate the gatlings.
- Head are from the NT1.... highly modified with epoxy putty.
- Front and back skirts are a recasts from theHGUC hazel´s.
- Backpack fron the NT1
- The "butt" is scrathbuilt.

Here some pics.........  :D

GB3: Minimal G / Light aircraft "Kestrel".... (former firefly)
« on: March 11, 2006, 09:32:21 PM »
Hi Guys;

This is my first contribution for this huge planetary project....... the "FIREFLY".... :D

more pics:

This is supossed to be a single seat light aircraft of the KOH. Fast and highly manouvrable is mainly used in kingdom borderline patrol missions or as comboy scort to defend it against junkers attacks. It has VTOL capabilities that make it very useful to ground attack. It wiil be equiped with two machine guns.......mmmmm,  that´s the tech info by now.  :evil:

About the model i´m using a OV-10A Bronco (cockpit and tail) and a P-51(wings and engine). The scale is 1/35Th. The pilot in the model is the 1/35TH Bandai shinden armor pilot and by now is used just as size reference.

Well........... i´m waiting for your comments  :wink:
