Model Talk / Peck's Gundam Ver. OYW
« on: November 01, 2006, 02:04:31 PM »
Peck actually made an OOB for once! oO I think it looks good, the weathering he did is great because its really not overdone like some other weathering can be. I like all the small scrapes and dings he has in the paint. Makes me think that that is what the Gundam would have looked like through most of the OYW

Very interesting! Its a lot simpler then Peck's usual stuff, at least as far as the paint is concerned. Im really liking this model! ^_^

Assembly/Scratchbuilding / Fixing loose joints
« on: July 03, 2006, 01:25:13 AM »
I didnt find this topic anywhere so...yea ^_^

Anywho I finished my MG Gyan, and everything is great...except the hip joints.

Where the legs connect to the body its kinda loose. The legs flap all around and the thing can barely stand up unless its knees are bent forward and legs angled outward.

Anyway my question is does anybody have a good way to strengthen a ball and socket joint on an MG?

Hey im new here! Well actually I have been looking at the forums for awhile and thought I would sign up finnaly.

Anywho back on topic, I searched for this and couldnt find anything so i'll just ask. I have ordered a MG Gyan and it should be here soon, almost as if it were providence G-System is releasing a conversion kit to convert it to a High-Mobility type. I really want to try this, but I have zero experience with resin, and extremely little experience with painting (tryed it a couple times with disasstrous results, but with the tuts here on this site I might be able to pull it off). With my little experience do you think its a bad idea to attempt this? Should I start on a smaller less challenging resin figure of some sort? Thanks :D
