Model In-Progress / non-scale Kogepan
« on: November 15, 2006, 04:26:48 AM »
While everyone is happily doing gundams and various figures, I've been slowly completing this guy over here. This is just to keep me moving till the deadline..

Its taken me ages! Reason being 99.999% procastination. Now I've to complete it before a certain birthday on the 27th of november. Its terribly rough and has lotsa cracks. I'll never use clay again cos my sculpting skillz kinda stinks.. for me, trying to make a bread shaped sphere is kinda hard.. even when its non-scale. And the face i drew looks kinda smiley. It should be a more disillusioned jaded look. oh well..

Model Talk / Image Hosting
« on: October 27, 2006, 08:34:37 AM »
Thought I'd introduce some interesting hosting site I just saw.

http://www.thumbq.com/

The speeds are pretty okay probably because its still quite obscure.

Many different sizes to choose from too:

From the ban-able widths (Uh.. its only for illustration.. mods please remove if you think its not neccesary):

MOD EDIT:  largest image removed (click to view it)

Smaller

See the selection page here

I hope this will help all the newcomers to get their pics somewhere and not get into trouble with the image sizes  and all, code is also conveniently given, sorta like imageshack but faster. I think there are more features when you sign up. You can post your findings below.. I simply have no time to mess around with it!  :( School work calls! Sigh.. semiconductor physics is a pain...

edit: Ops.. so embarassing, totally forgot to put in the URLs.

I remember posting a link to this guys work but I can't find the thread anymore. He did many tachikomas. Recently i checked back to see some new works he completed. They don't happen very often. Here they are. Noticed he finished his HAW206.

Model Help* (Check Stickies and Search First) / Modelling Wiki
« on: August 13, 2006, 02:35:57 AM »
Anyone has experience making a wiki? I'm trying one out now, think it'll be a great idea to make a plastic modelling wiki for people out there to read through. Its cool cos anybody and everybody can edit freely and its a very no strings attached thing. So what do you guys think of it? Its sitll very early on and i don't even have a name for it! haha.. Suggestions from all you creative people out there please!

Model In-Progress / 1/100 MG Qubeley cut-away
« on: May 30, 2006, 11:39:24 AM »
Quebely in-progress

I started on this guy just a while ago. The build was easy and the model is large compared to a normal 1/100 gundam. I decided to go with a cutaway of the qubeley on one side of its body. I got it from this site which i have been trying to locate without success.

Anyone remebers some guy who had a nice site with a prototype zaku with only its internals, chromed engine tubes and all? He also completed a zaku II that was a cutaway version.

Model Talk / thiscowispurple.com - plamo wisdom for all!
« on: May 16, 2006, 09:26:38 AM »
Been so busy the last 2 weeks churning out this website before the semester starts in august again. I hope to make it a resource hub for modellers everywhere. Well, its starting small, but i'm working on growing the content day by day. Do visit and tell me what you think :) like if there's anything you like to see or you do not like to see - I am humbly ready to hear comments both good and bad. Actually, i'm more interested in the bad!

Don't be suprised if you're already featured there... I'm also all ready if anyone would like to submit his site

Thanks a bunch
