Its if unopened you should be able to return it to gamestop/best buy for store credit of the full price.

The preshading on the white is badass I love it. This is one of the coolest 1/60's I seen in a while.  Thanks for sharing it with us too.

Not sure why but the preshaded blue areas kinda look odd to me. Can't say why but something doesn't compute in my head when I see it. Maybe its just to bold of a preshade to go with that color?

Whats up with the sudden spike of models from this series? Did they make a new series? are they on clearance some wheres? Or are people just getting nostalgiac and want to build one after seeing others build one?

There is also the MS Igloo series which is very hard to find stateside :(
But with a little research you should be able to find a online fansite that has it.

Its all computer animated side stories to complement the overall story. I like it alot because, at least the few I saw were from the Zeon point of view. Feddies are losers!

That looks very clean.
I like the gloss metallic blue you used.

$690HK = $89 USD which is pretty cheap for this conversion. The original full kit for example goes for over $500 USD.

GSystems 1/60 scale kits go for over $400 USD....

DOH!!!  :embarrased:   Thanks for pointing the $ conversion.

 :( :( :( :( :( :(
I emailed about pricing..
The kit is sold at HK$690 ea. Shipping charge is HK$229 by registered air mail.

Thats insane for a 1/100 mod if you ask me.  Thats like the same price as Gsystems 1/60.
 :( :( :( :( :( :(

Best of luck can't wait to see what the finished model looks like.

:twitch: Where did you get the Nightingale conversion kit from? I would like to get myself one.

FYI None of the images work.
They return "You don't have permission to access /ruliboard/gup/img_link7/236/235537_10.jpg on this server."

My wife was cleaning up this weekend and decided to dust her Breyer horses off.  I had my newly finished model in the cabinet. needless to say she couldn't figure out why it was so dirty as she tried to brush off all the MIG pigments  :twitch:

This is the first model I have finished 100% and shared on the forum. I have learned a lot from the forum but even more just doing it.

Things I have learned:
1.) Don't try to glue after you have painted, I tried to glue my model's pose on the dio and the paint started to run.
2.) Mods are nice but not really needed most of the time. I added a led monoeye and had the wire run through the models body to the base of the dio where I had a switch and battery for it. After I had the wiring all in place I decided its nice but im not really going to turn it on and view it THAT often. maybe just glance at it on a shelf.
3.) Don't be afraid to paint it. Its only plastic.
4.) Weather before mounting on dio, and then do touch ups.
5.) Weather will not stick to gloss such as glue you added after painting.

Here are the pics

Advice, suggestions, praise?  :D

I know this is almost a year late but for future ref when people search here is an answer to a good US place to buy MIG pigments that wont kill you with shipping.

I am trying to create a 1/100 desert landscape dio. I have scuplted the landscape out of clay and read that chinchilla dust works great for that scale.  I can put a layer of water+elmers glue down and shake some on my dio and I get a really nice looking desert.  Problem is the chinchilla dust is naturally grey in color.  I can airbrush it shades of yellow/brown, but I have some MIG pigment I would like to weather my model with.  I know you can mix them with thinner or turpentine for other effects.  Is there a way to create a paint with MIG pigments?

Anyone know if its possible to make a clear panel using Future?

Was thinking I could pour/paint some on a surface and when it dries pick it up.  But I dont know what surface would work best that it couldn't bond to? vegetable oiled surface?
