Just want to share my latest build. Its really nice to build , just a bit too small and my skill still can't get a good surface finishing.

First time trying panel line washes. Some lines are poorly cleaned and some are too darn big. Sorry about that.. have to learn more.

Also first time trying a flat topcoat. Sure hard to get a non frost coating in Malaysia current raining season.

Oh well, Enough said...Let the pics do the talking.

Thanks bro..
CidHighwind..Let me summarize how the purple ( ..suppose to be cobalt blue..) is build..
1.  The side pieces are large pla-plates ( 5  stacks with 1mm each ) cut and bend to shape
2.  The center piece is just normal bandai 1/144 base , which I only use half of it
3.  The rear piece are large pla-plates ( 8 stacks  with 1mm each ) cut to shape
4.  Finally detail koto parts are added

I didn't kitbash cause this is a 1/35 scale so its hard to kitbash with any of the 1/144 or 1/100 parts.:P

..thanks bro... I have added several koto detail parts here and there to spice it up. The bottom base is totally scratch build by using bandai's 1/144 base as the primary piece :P

Hi guys... Just would like to share my latest build , RX79G Gundam Head display. The base has to be scratch build and since its my 2nd time SB anything, the quality of work surely have lots of room for improvement. Any my usual weakness which is tech pen panel lining. Promise that my next build will use the wash method to improve  ;)

Well , enough self complains...Here's the pic for viewing..:P

Just a small comparison between the original head and what I have done to it :P

And here's the rest of the pictures

Feel free to comment so that I could improve further. Thanks.. :P

..Decided to take another pic from a different angle plus edit it to remove the GN fangs supports ..

..I really wish to finish more build to gain more modeling experience but sadly...only can finish 1 small little 1/144 build :P..

..its always tough when you have 2 demanding kids at home who cries and cries for attention...unlike my unbuild models who just sit quietly on the shelfs :P

..thanks bro... Totally agree that the pencil weathering on the white parts are a  bit too much...:P

..its hard to control , especially on a small surface like a 1/144 kit :P

Hi Guys...Finally manage to finish my first and last build for 2008 :P.

Things that I wished to share on this build..
1. Its really tough to make small detail modding on a 1/144 if you have fat fingers like me
2. The metal tubes and cylinders are computer pins from my old industrial PC ( ..Recycle is a nice thing to do ..)
3. Its coloured with industrial spray can which is thin layer by layer over 3 layer each colour
4. The weathering is roughly done with pencil and finger smudging

Well, that's all for now. Happy New Year and Happy Modelling ... Thanks for viewing.

Rest of the album..

I like your finishing a lot. Nice and clean. Just wondering...are those samuel decals ?

But the posing a bit stiff. Is it because the articulation for this 1/60 kit very bad ?

..blacklotus.. Will try to modd the rest of the body but need to be careful to avoid over modd . I will modd the current broad sword but it won't be the same as Erix's. The plan is to add a mini fluorescent tube to emulate the light saber effect :P

..FichtenFoo.. This old dog just can't learn new trick. Still trying to improve my skill and style to get a better build..:P

Added some gas tank on the side..

Also added small wings features to give an aerodynamic feel to the overall back pack..

Here's the overall look so far..

..Thanks for viewing... feel free to comments :P

Just want to share with the group on my latest build..

Lets start with the head..I decided to give it more like a freedom feel. The V fins are cut and sharpen. The side of the face are details with beads and pla plates.

Added an extra mini wing on the upper left side ...copied from Hi-Nu concept.

I repeat the same exhaust vent modds as I did on my ZZ

Change the LED to blue...

..the PG doesn't come with the sword back pack so have to modd from my spare parts..
The towering thingy is from my old HG Sazabi back pack..

Its really amazing on how you modd the zaku... particularly luv the weathered finishing to give it a worn out look. Looks like another potential for the model of the month award...:P

Thanks Guys..

..NickM.. I build this a long time ago. Decided to strip off the paint and re-do it again. Just for sharing , this is how it look like few years ago.

..CheesyGrin..The pic above shows how the original kit look like. Check out my WIP pics to see what I added.:P But mostly just molds from KOTO. The metal pipes are from industrial connector pins.
