WOW Ryan you really are a fast one huh?  I love the color combination especially the pink.  The shadings are sutble and it doesn't darken the white that much.

I'll wait for the final result of your kit and knowing you; I know that will be a good one.

Hi guys,

I just like to share my SD God Gundam.  This kit was finished last year and as usual it's just an OOTB kit no modifications whatsoever.  Even the colors are that of the anime I just did some shading here and there and replaced the eye and the camera with clear plastic and used clear green over silver.

That's all Thanks

Sorry again for the poor photograpy

Hey Dorggy nice one there like I said before I like the way your paint scheme turned out and the battle scars too.  One thing I miss is the backpack.  Anyways we all have different opinions and modelling is not an exception.

Keep up the good work my friend and thanks again for the Hasegawa Saw ehehehe

Thanks guys for your kind comments.  Anyway! just a small update the Gundam Seed/Destiny Philippines contest has ended and I was able to bag the 5th place.  It was amongst heavily modified kits and a simple OOTB kit still managed to get atleast 5th ehhehe.  It only proves even a simple out of the box build can still catch the eyes of judges (bit OT)

Thanks again

Model In-Progress / HGUC 1/144 DOM
« on: August 20, 2006, 10:36:59 AM »

Ok here is a progress of a kit that I am recently working on the HGUC 1/144 Dom.  Basically this kit is mean looking compared to other 1/144s and the build is almost perfect.  Almost perfect?  Well the problem that I see with this kit is that the upper and the lower legs are connected to the knee joints as one piece as you guys can see in this scanned manual from

So here is what I did:

As you can see in the left side of the picture, there is a seam line above the natural seam that needs to be sealed (encircled blue).  To remedy that I cut the other half of the whole lower leg(the red colored line) with a dull hobby knife blade then attached the part that was removed to the other side of the leg.

Now for the upper leg:

Here I just sawed the other half of the upper legs in order for the knee joints to be attached and painted without masking the whole leg.

Anyways, I just wanted to share with you guys what I did.  I am planning to paint this in it's original colors though I might weather it and give it some battle scars of somesort.

I like both color schemes, why not do both since you have 2 Shikis.  Just my 2 cents though.

Ok now here is the finished 1/100 Duel Gundam with Assult Shroud.  Like I've said; there's nothing fancy bout the kit no modifications whatsoever just a customized paint scheme.

Sorry for the poor photography I dunno!  I can't seem to take better picture of my kits lol.

Comments and suggestions are always welcomed.

I am having second thoughts on where to put this guy (in the model gallary or here).  Why because kit is done but I still have some minor boo boos to repair.  Anyways I didn't take pictures of the work in progress cause basically it is just an OOTB kit.

Sorry if you guys thinks this thread is misplaced.

The kit has no decals yet, i still haven't decided weather to put in the v fins or not.  If not I have to putty the gap that the v fin left behind.

Anyways comments and suggestions are welcomed.

Ey Brother Germs,

I love the shading on your SD Strike.  Seems that will be your Seed Contest Entry this August or will you still have a secret weapon?

At last I've finished with the Zaku.

Sorry for the pictures am not a pro on that one either :D  :D  :D  :D  Front  Back  Close up right  Close up left   leg shot  shot from below

The kit is basically painted out of the box and no modification what so ever.  I just did some pre shading while doing the camo.

Thanks for the comments

I coated it first with a mixture of Gunze clear red and black then Gunze Steel.  As for the camo I know it's really crazy cause I haven't seen any zaku with a digital camo.

Will post some updates soon.

Thanks again

You are all correct and I am sorry for the blurred pictures.  Major Blah, yes I painted the eyes first and the chin, then masked the eyes then glued them together.  The paint that I used for the yellow are yellow, clear yellow, clear red all from Mr Color.

Thanks for the comments guys
