K is for Krazy Kustom Kampfer Kompetition / Re: NoKamp

This thing reminds me of the little dudes in Halo who run around scared and attempt to hurt you, It's just so darned cool! Keep up the nice work!

I like them, they make the kit seem more "realistic" and "possible". They show scale and other cool gadgets. To tell you the truth, I'm more attracted to models with bases.

Ugh...Strike Noir, what an effortless plan for Bandai. Just add some stuff to the Strike and you get the Strike Noir. Sorta like the Strike Freedom. At least we could of gotten the Stargazer Gundam. But wait, is Strike Noir the 100 MG?!? PLEASE NO   . The Hildorf looks pretty darn cool though, I'm really liking the detail on it. The Hi-Nu base is clever too, and I was right about the beam things inside of the beam funnels   .

Wow! That turned out VERY nicely IMO. I'm really digging the cover art too . Bandai has been going all out with the clear parts, I'm expecting to see little beam things on the fin funnels for the hi-nu, but still not convincing to me  .

I plan to finish sanding down all of my models and then begin work on the following:
MG GM Sniper
MG RX-78-2
HGUC Hazel TR-1

I have a feeling that these might be the only ones I get done but who knows   .

That's the point... They're robot hands and he's in a robot suit.

Looks good so far!

Oh, I've never worked with these before. I had a feeling the pilot had his hands in the arm parts and that those hands are the robotic extentions.

I recently bought this kit for the holidays and I have do say its got me stuck with mixed thoughts. The detail is simply amazing along with the color molding but the performance of the head is a big dissapointment. The hydraulics that "move" the head around are constantly falling out of place and are a pain in the @55 to place back together (have to go through all of the armor). Another upsetment is that this is a paint while put together kit. As dalong shows, the pieces on the head that are glued are very small. The figures on the other hand are great. They have many pieces that can be painted and placed together with the help of pins (have to get them yourself). The weapon detail is also amazing, they are as small as the side of the metal on an eraser, yet have the detail of a 1/100 MG gun! Overall, if you have a plan on what to do when you get this kit, then you will enjoy it very much!

Looks good so far! My only complaint would be the hands, they really don't seem in scale with a humans hands. Otherwise your piece is comming along nicely! Keep up the good work!

I've seen this before but I'm always fascinated about the cockpit work the most. I mean, how can you put such amazing details into something that's the size of my thumbnail? It's also so accurate and cool, it almost looks like the real-lifed one in the actual show!

OOH!!! VERY SHINY   ! I'm very suprised at what they've done to this. I'm really tempted now. It's the basic kit with the special feture add-ons right? Might as well turn the ol' fredom into justice   .

I like it! The faded pink looks really appropriate with the base along with the other colors. If you had added the green trim on the certain areas and improved the pose more I think it would have turned out better. It's never to late to make some improvements!

No worries! From my past few years in my model assembly I've learned ALOT. You can make plenty of mistakes while working on models and you learn from each one. Right now i'm on a sanding streak with all of my models because when I first started, I just snapped them out of their trees, slapped a few stickers on, and called it a masterpiece   ! It's a pain in the @$$. But once i'm done and start painting I'm shure i'll make more mistakes. Basically what i'm trying to say is that we all make mistakes and we all learn from them and will eventually become better.

BTW, the splotchy paint is probally due from too much thinner and a lack of stirs.

Looks good! I like the color scheme and how you payed attention to the color differential with the blue. Good job on the rust effect, I have to agree with Major Blah though, if it's a heavy duty MS, then it should have more weathering on it. Good job and keep up the good work!

That looks like one krazy Kampfer! I really like the mods on the head and with the shoulders. The LED also looks really cool.

Looks really cool so far! an idea for the cockpit might be to add a corefighter type cockpit almost like the zeon version of the G-Fighter. The cockpit would be detachable and would have some sort of propulsion to get back.

That's a pretty cool idea, the Dom head completely transforms the model. Quite shocking almost, it looks like a whole new model, I really like that. Can't wait to see how this project unfolds!

Are those canisters emptied? They could be hazardous, and explode, to me they look like CO2 cartriges (just as a caution). Aside from that...It looks awsome! I like how your going for a unique turn on a booster. I think that would also be sweet as a backpack, kinda a UC spin on the aile striker. Keep up the good work!
