Those thrusters look absolutely gorgeous, as are the internals.

And the kit is just massive. More than twice the size of the Red Frame, from the looks of it.

I like this one. It does look odd standing next to a military garage, but that's not a bad thing. It has a really sporty look to it--almost race car-ish. I was thinking the exact same colors for my PG Strike and it's nice to see it on something else.

The right shoulder looks like it's been through hell, though, and I see some silvering on those decals. The "glittery" look on the clear parts are a bit odd but other than that, nicely done.

Ohh, so you're that guy.

The greatest thing about this is that you wouldn't even be able to tell this was a Gundam kit. Very neat concept, and very well executed. I love it!

Perish the thought, but I'd just love to see what it would look like docked with 00 Gundam.  :P

Dalong has put up some pictures of the runners.

And more pictures on this other site of the completed model:

The way the Gerbera Straight comes together is just beautiful. It may just be me that's geeking out over the fact that the blade has an actual tang, but I'm hardly ashamed of that. The blade also has a temper line running along the edge.

Do want. Somehow it's even hard to tell that it's using the Strike frame at all. I'd shell out for that immediately. Those multi-colored hands are just beautiful. I hope they come like that.

I was wondering what had happened to this build. Still looks great even after what it's been through.

Is this really a 1/144 though? It looks positively huge from the pictures!

It's just a re-release of the Shin Musha with a special display stand. Can't find the site I originally read it on. The stand is just a base with a backdrop and holders for all of the weapons.

Echoing GlauG's post, I'd also like to know how those LEGO ball joints worked out for you. I know you used them for the feet--pretty sweet idea.

Any word on a ballpark release date? 2009, hopefully.

Anyway, can anybody read what it says on the link to the GN arms? Because there is an arrow which point to the gundam above it and itself. And I have not seen that gundam before and am curious to what it is. Also the Ptolemaios shown right below the arios looks pretty fishy, looks a lot like legs to me. Anyone agree?

I thought about the Ptolemaios 2 as well, but I couldn't say for sure because there's no size comparison to any of the Gundams. But yeah, those do look like legs, only they're tipped with GN Drives. Still, though. You never know.

The Gundam you see with the new GN Arms is Gundam Rasiel. I don't know what its significance is or if it will be part of the "combiner."

And if that isnt true then the result would be a very retarded, out proportioned gundam. And if something of that size is needed then you probably wont be seeing any 1/100 version of it.

I don't know. The theory about a new GN Arms model sounds pretty good. I was looking through majhost and found this picture of the new GN Arms. Also, this picture of Arios makes its flight mode look like a shield or sword of some sort.

I find it peculiar that the one Gundam that's piloted by a trap is actually afraid of buttseks :D

Sir, it would be an honor to shake your hand.

Feels a lot like a kitbash between Freedom and Strike Noir. Other than that, it looks pretty HG-ish. I don't know why. Not that it's a bad thing.

Erm, they retooled the 1/100 not kitbash freedom with strike noir  ???

I know... I said "feels like." As in it resembles a kitbash between the two.

I am really hoping that these models are just the wooden prototypes, and not the actual plastic models. It really would be ashame to see these models released. I hope they put some detail in there...  :(

I believe they are. I can see the wood grains. That said, these still look like trash. I might get the 00, but definitely not the others.

Just found a picture of the master grade infinite justice prototype :-):

If I didn't know better, I'd say you hammered this out of sheet metal.

Truly spectacular. The painting effects really just bring it to life.

Model In-Progress / GN-043 Gundam Exia Fortuna
« on: May 30, 2008, 07:08:25 PM »

I've been working on this kit for a while--I can't even remember when I actually bought the NG 1/100 Exia. I think it was somewhere between February and April, but I digress. I was looking at my first build (Wing Zero) and the ruined MG Strike I had previously tried to work on and decided that I wanted to actually start and finish an original build this time, and after seeing erix's build (mad props, by the way) I was pretty motivated.

This build is pretty mod-heavy. A scavenged a lot of my Strike's parts as well as parts from really old, badly done HG Gundam Wing kits. I had purchased the NG 1/100 Astraea not too long ago to use some of its parts (namely the chest verniers and the guns). I'm working on a scratch-built sword using a PG Strike's Grand Slam. This was also my first time using epoxy putty (though not to a huge degree).

>> Separated torso into two sections and connected them with a ball joint for posability
>> Extended feet and shoulders using epoxy putty
>> MG Strike's pelvis/skirt armor was used; legs modified to fit into those ball joints
>> Various cosmetic mods
>> Scratch-built hip-mounted cannons using parts from Koenig Wolf (ZOIDs kit) and HG Wing Zero; also an "Espada Grande" from PG Strike's Grand Slam sword and various spare parts (pictures soon)

I'm already well under way. The kit's actually almost ready for paint bar a few rough spots that I can clean up fairly quickly. I'm going for a really dark color scheme (black and dark grey) with silver internals, and the clear parts will be a clear light blue.

Anyway. Photos below (here's the gallery when it's available); sorry for the crappy picture-taking. Somehow my camera refuses to take good pictures from far away but the macro shots work just fine.
>> Color scheme
>> Front
>> Rear
>> Lower torso
>> Upper torso

So there you go. The close-ups show a lot of rough spots that really only require a quick once-over with some sand paper and some putty, but otherwise it's pretty ready for paint. I'll post up pictures of the weapons once I'm finished with them.

I instantly recognized that Kanohi Miru on the front. Nice touch. :D

The build looks pretty tight. It's like if Howl's Moving Castle suddenly meant business.
