Post by: Mrex-sgundam on September 01, 2006, 05:49:47 PM
This is kind of a bum question but just had to ask others on the board it can be deleted when done.

If I where to take a HG tallgeese and turn it into a MG which frame would work the Gyan or the Wing. Also what is the exact hieght of the tallgeese? it didnt say on MAHQ.net.

Thanks in advance

I moved this to model help. It's fine as a topic as I plan on doing a 1/100 TG too at some point. :)

Here is a Tallgeese that uh, **somebody** made. The site is Japanese, so I can't tell you who, but they have many nice kits on their site. This particular Tallgeese had the legs built over what I'm guessing are MG GM Ka legs.

Hope this info is helpful and isn't too late. :D

Thats Keita's site. I have yet to build the Wing MG but from my Gyan MG I would say to try using the Wing frame...

Keita used a 1/100 HG Tallgeese and a MG Wing on that particular kit.

I wouldnt use and MG Gyan for that. The Gyan is a massive suit. It  stands at 19.9 meters, and Tallegeese at 17.4.
Even the Gundam and GM are taller at 18 meters.
I think you'd be best getting an MG wing, as its much shorter; around 16.3 meters. You'd be able to cover the frame with the Tallgeese parts and not have to fill as many major gaps comming from scale issues. You know, smaller things fit into bigger thing much easier than vica versa.
I think with a conversion like that you'd want things to be as easy as possible  :)

Thanks for the advice everybody! i guess i'll use the MG wing as a base kit since i have both kits already and try to kitbash all three together (use the shoulders maybe the arms of the gyan, the body of the Wing).

when i was building my HG Tallgeese III I stumbled upon Keita's site and saw his. I was really amazed at his since mine came out so much worse (it was my first model and I built it OOB). The actual HG Tallgeese III suffers from a host of problems just because it's a HG. There are quite a few seams to deal with and I really dont like the beam rifle on the right and the lack of it being able to be put in a good pose. Otherwise, it's not too bad. The pose that I have mine at right now is similar to the first one on Keita's site under "Tallgeese III Photogallery", except that mine does not articulate to that degree  :(.
