Well fulc, I'll still get my lance, and I "may" buy a gun 1 when they get here. I still need to think about it a bit. But I need the lance, so a definitive on that ^^.

Thank you very much Fich!

while we're on the subject, does anyone have ideas on how to do the silver armor? Prolly a silver underbase then a coat of clear...white maybe? thinned down of course.

The topic says it all. I tried searching for it, but I couldn't find it. Sorry in advance if it's something easily found.

Fulcy, before you send in the request, I was looking at your list, and it had me down for the 2 gun 1s. Can you please remove that? I thought I has asked earlier, but it looks like I was wrong.

Sorry

So, if I'm reading this right, the lance is 3 dollars? Or twelve?

At any rate, I'd be interested in Lance x1 and Gun1 x2, if the 3000 wong is the price. If it's the 12000 one, then disregard this post please fulcy.

Now, this one was going to have the peacock smasher with it, or the shot lancer (The X-bone full cross)?

Guess what?

It worked.

<< They're big! They're huge! They go on the back of the mobile suit! They're gold!

THEY'RE SEED! ra-ra-ra-ra-ra! (Definitely a seed feel here. Not neccessarily bad though :))

(Learn from my mistakes! Glue spots show up like mad! I'm gonna prolly have to add some putty on the sides to make the whole thing consistent, then respray...ug)

I haven't glued down anything. if anyone has a different layout idea for the feathers, I'd love to hear it.

I'm going to just tack on the wings I think. However, usually when I'm trying to open up a piece of the model, I'll use a surgical scalpel or a pair of surgical scissors. My mother is a doctor and can get them for me easy.  I also use my dremel. To open up the wing zero wings, I would get the thinnest grinder I own, and lightly, LIGHTLY go over the plastic part I want to be cut out. then, I'll cut it out with the scissors, then, I'll go in with sand paper and sand it down. I've contacted Netmodelers to see if I can get their notes on how to open up the wings (and to make the feathers, but it seems mine turned out ok :-D), but I haven't been contacted back. I did send it in Japanese, as well as English, so I don't think they'll just toss it aside.

If I get their notes, I will definitely open up my wings before I add in the feathers.

Please note:

I saw an in-prog thread for wings like this, that was not done by netmodelers. The modeler shaped a...leaf shape? it looked like a scaled down version of the wing itself out of clay to cover up the attachment points underneath the wing. That too is an option.

After Wing Zero

Tamiya F-1 Ferrari 2001

MG Crossbone gundam

MG Strike Freedom

Big Grade Freedom

then after that I'm thinking either a Queb or a OYW gundam. Those 5 will take me till June though.

Slight (Read: Huge) disaster. Feathers got dust all over them from a storm last night. Had to strip off the ruined paint, which in turn stripped off the glue as well, and I had to repaint.

THEN my modeling shop was all out of the white I was going to use! But...from disaster, comes inspiration. Golden feathers. They should look beautiful when done...should...(please please please PLEASE look good)

Also, I tried searching around for papamodeler, no luck  :( .

Oh crap! I must have forgotten to spray the back of that one. >> yeah...I'm gonna pull that off and respray it, prolly.

Proto-feather. Think it looks similar to the netmodeler version?

I can say, honestly, that I have a lot of pride in this model. It is the single most beautiful piece I have ever done (still, very little compared to you all, but better than my earlier models.) No update on the wings, but, he's painted and assembled (almost). And, FFA for me (Arizona, 64~76 degrees most days, and I keep my model stuff outside) cured within 24 hours, just as a by the by.

T, looks like another fantastic kit. Can you do a pic with the bazooka in one hand and the Grand Slam in the other (Idea for my own eventual Gyan). I love that the shield decal looks painted on. Very nice. :D

And, your troubles seem to be like mine right now, cept yours are a bit more intense...

Interesting...looks pretty good. I could probably use the process to make the bigger feathers that I'm looking for, if the whole styrene and wire bit doesn't work out. Thanks again.

Sounds like an interesting approach Tet. Do you have any pictures of the completed product?
