The sort of brass colour for yellow looks beautiful. What a cool way to make a kit look more realistic. It changes the whole mood of the model kit.  ^_^

I think so Nick!!!!!
I love the way it looks instead of the original yellow finish...

I apologize for my absence from the forum, but I've been pretty busy lately ...
So here goes the last of my work, commissioned by a friend.
A repainting of a Hasbro toy in 1/6 scale ...   :twitch:
In this case I used the technique of lhairspray and salt, preshading and mottling , just to make me not miss anything ...   :P
Comments and criticisms are welcome!!!

Ps: on FB and my blog you will find also the WIP ...

Meanwhile, we have found the right pose, added bit of pins and start coloring ...

Staining ...

And here's the base , treated with the technique of salt spray on the yellow stripes ...

What do you think?

Model Gallery / Star Wars Snow Speeder Diorama - Commission work
« on: June 25, 2013, 11:15:17 PM »
Here is another commissioned model ...
In this case I had only build the diorama, the snow speeder is an American resin kit pre-assembled and coloured.
I've done sides of the diorama (built with wood), filled with construction foam, DAS and a japanese white paste for the terrain, the first layer of snow is composed of water, PVA glue and baking, and then snow flock from Noch.
I'm happy with the final result, how about you?

Model In-Progress / Wip - Battlestar Galactica Cylon Rider
« on: May 21, 2013, 11:47:39 PM »
Here we are with a new wip, again a commissioned model ...

WIP - Cylon Rider

This Cylon Ryder has a good detail and is very simple, just a few pieces and can be assembled in a short time. As you will see later, however, this model has also evident print defects...

Assembling: as usual (three models to three of the Moebius have this problem) we find ourselves in front of the large gaps between the pieces. Fortunately, this time just a little bit of glue and clamps to fix almost everything ...: D

Painting: for the first time I attempt using the technique of Mottling with Alclad, I'm not able to maintain a thin line, probably because of the airbrush or pressure, I still improve in this aspect...

Now I have to pass the transparent Tamiya Smoke, do washing, chipping and see how to finish the whole thing ...

What do you think?

Model Gallery / Darth Maul Bloodfin
« on: May 06, 2013, 02:19:04 AM »
Here's another finished commission, this time it's the Darth Maul's bike from Star Wars, made for Action Figures in 1/6 scale.
The work that I was asked to do was to grout the joints and screw holes on the side and recoloring according to the standard scheme, with weathering.
I redid the entire engine compartment, which was really bare ...
Here are some photos, others and the wip can be found on my blog... ;)
What do you think?
