Hi! I'm new to the forums. I've been reading some of the posts I am very impressed with the great models I've seen. I am starting to put together my tools for my first project and I wanted to buy a compressor. I was looking at the Harbor Freight compresseors which are within my budget but I don't know which one to choose from. Any ideas?

Also, which airbrush do you recommend for a starter like me? Is the one from Harbor Freight good enough? I plan to start with an airplane model.

Thanks for your help

I have the first compress or you linked to. Works great. The HF airbrush is also perfect for a beginner. I've been using what it's a knock-off for (badger 150) for years.

You like yours FF?  I tried one, I think it was the second one above, hoping to find something quieter than my Badger.  I hated it and took it right back, it didn't have enough output (CFM?) to keep up a constant pressure, pressure was always dropping after a few sprays and I had to wait for it to come back up.

The link 404'd. Not to bring up an old thread but I have a similar question. Of course the compressor/airbrush bundle is great, but I noticed for 15 bucks less I could order the 1/8HP (40psi) model and airbrush separately, but I am curious if the 1/4 HP would provide a better finish when painting?
