So I have been needing chisels for a while now. I have noticed chisel like blades for hobby knives but do these work as well? Are there any relatively inexpensive alternatives besides buying a set? Just trying to save dough before I pay for the Micro Mark set :/ .

Check the chisel set I offer - I actually just received some new blade sizes, that I need to add to the store hopefully this weekend.

I was actually looking for something a bit cheaper... sorry. I do however need to ransack your store for some spikes and maybe some thruster bells.

Question about spikes though. I need them for the shield of a 1/144 Zaku Warior. What size would you recommend?

I have no idea what size they are - measure the ones on the shield, and compare those dimensions to the ones listed in my store.

I've been debating about getting some real chisels for a while.  I have been using sharpened mini screwdrivers, and they're not very good on hard plastics.  One I've been considering is from Mission Models, which is cheaper than Fulcy's (well, only because you can buy individual sizes).

Ack, totally forgot about listing the sizes that I have, and need to list in my store!  These are replacement blades, that can be used with the handle included in the GT set (though it may be possible to use these with the larger xacto knife handle - not the #11 one - though it may take some tinkering, since these chisel blades are thicker than the normal knife blade):

  • 0.4mm
  • 0.6mm
  • 0.8mm
  • 1.0mm
  • 1.4mm

These are in addition to the blades currently included in the GT chisel set.  Hopefully I will have them listed sometime this week (depending on how the remodeling of the master bedroom goes! ).

Was hoping you'd get some replacement smaller blades, can you tell me how much they should be fore and is it a set of those 5 blades or are they separated?

They are sold separately.  I have not figured out the pricing yet though...

Yes they are excellent chisels.

I have the base set with 0.1mm > 0.3mm.

Fulcy: I was wondering if the additional widths will be in stock at some point?

Also has anyone had any luck or experience sharping them using a wet stone or something similar.

Cheers
