I don't have this kit yet,but I thought it may interest some, when I saw some new Ian McCue Art on Concept Ships.
He has a pretty cool sort of alt universe beat up seafaring series up.

I thought of this build(and a lot of other ship ideas)when I saw it,and I thought it might help some inspiration.
Cheers guys.

I saw those too. Very cool designs and the paint/weathering would fit these well.

Ugh... I almost hate that you posted this. I'm so enthralled that I started building my own version of one a few days ago. I have the hull about ready for detailing and started the cabins on the deck yesterday. Will post images soon.

Haha   That's soo cool! I would love to see a junker type done by you!
Story of my life. I look at all this art in different mediums and get project ADD. ^_^
Here's a couple more I like that may have some reference or ideas for you. Ryan Church and Nicolas bouvier are 2 I like a lot and they do a lot of "ships". The others are concept sites I also like to view.

Actually, now that I think about it. There is also a book called " The Skillfull Hintsman" that has a very illustrated "ship" type journey retelling a brothers grimm story. It has a style that would probably relate well. (Lot's of junker airship type stuff)

Hopefully I'm helping and not making it worse  :D
Cheers and good building!

Thanks! Heh... fun fact... I'm a distant relative of the Grimm's apparently from the maternal side. Imagine that? Might have to look for that Huntsman book.

Wow! Maybe the modeling and dios are inherited story telling abilities!  8)

P.S. I just looked at that book on my shelf. Not quite as many ship/air boat specific references as I had originally thought. Still great book to have on the shelf though for lots of other stuff.

Grail,

Thanks for posting the link. I saw it a few weeks back and was really inspired by the illustrations. I also started working on a ship design based on the concepts…

I will post some progress shots soon… maybe in the minimal G, group build? I thin those will fit there perfectly.

Mike, It would be interesting to see what you come up with too...
