Zluca: your creation there reminds me of fichtenfoo's orca gun he made for the Briegel.

Good thing I'm going to Walmart tomorrow. They always have packs of lighters on sale. A lot of useful stuff for a cheap price. It's really hard to argue that considering how expensive some stuff is in this hobby.

Thanks eyewitness!

robofreak: HW is dealing with a power outtage at the moment. I just talked to sean to see what
was up since BAKUC is in the same boat.

Thanks! I was a little annoyed earlier when I could'nt access either site. I guess I'll have to make my orders tomorrow. :(

I almost forgot, can you tell me what purple powder is? Stripping chrome is a new thing for me. Does 409 work?

Many thanks! The gold astray does'nt seem quite as intimidating now that I've seen what you did. I think I'll buy it once the hobbywave site starts working again.

Great Work! I like the fact that you got rid of all that nasty gold chrome. Toning it down with Alclad definitely helped bring out the detail that was otherwise left hidden underneath all that shine.

Apart from the gold, can you tell me what your mix ratios were for the other colors or were they just straight from the bottle?

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I'm looking for MIG Pigments and the link bentbutnotbroken does'nt sell them and if they do I must not be looking in the right part of the site. The link takes me to something about business consulting. ???

I'm also looking for Gunze Sangyo acrylics and would be greatful if someone could point me in the right direction.

Capitalism Corner* / Re: Need help finding a figure
« on: April 07, 2008, 01:14:11 PM »
Okay, I did some more research into the figure in question and this is what I've been able to gather. It's a figure from a japanese emo comic and was limited to about 20 pieces. There was in fact a guy selling recsts of it on Ebay awhile back like I had said earlier, and he had about 10 of them for sale. The problem was that the recasts were so poorly done that they were almost impossible to assemble. This information was gathered from some friends I have in japan who a familiar with the site you linked us to and also a massive google search.

I'll let you know if I run into anything else about the figure.

You bet I can help! I did my Wing Zero Ka. with Tamiya Sprays and here are the colors I used.

*Matt White
*Italiant red
*Camel Yellow
*German Grey
*Candy Lime Green for the lens pieces
*Testor Dull Cote to flatten the shine of some of the colors. Here's a link to mine:

Hope it helps!

I'm interested in getting one of these kits. Any idea of the price point? Is it a kit that requires I have another kit first in order to use it?

If you need help finding a good caster, then I suggest contacting Hal Zucati at Rabid Squirrel Productions. He's always interested in producing cool kits and if he likes what you have he'll strike a deal with you. He is a very reasonable guy so don't be afraid to talk to him. Tell him Paul sent you.

I wish I some more money. :( I missed out on the Briegel (not sure if it's still in production) and now there's this model. I would love to have one, but I am poor.

Anyways, great work on it! This is an incredible piece and I'm sure those who get it will love it!

I actually saw it on ebay a while back when I was looking for Final Fantasy kits. Just type up resin kit or resin in the search box and you'll find it eventually. I think the seller had ten of them. I'm sorry I don't know more, but that's the best I can do as I was busy looking for something else and ran into it by accident.
