This year we planned to build a 1/35 diorama for the famous french Japan Expo 2009. This show is one of the biggest show over the world. This year 150 000 visitors are expected during 4 days.

I'am pleased to introduce our team
Bengrimm, Laborman Valky and I.
We planned to builld a huge diorama 1m*1m.
Bengrimm already completed the over truck and is currently working on the 20 to 30 figs. He will also work on many accessories.
Laborman is currently working on the famous Type 61 and accessories.
Valky is currently modifying a 1/35 G-System standing RX-78.2 Ver Ka into a 1/35 Gm Sniper II kneeling version and a 1/35 jeep.
I am cuurently working on the diorama itself vegetation, rocks ans things.
We started last october and our deadline is the first week end of july.

Enjoy

Wow, I am impressed...  :twitch:  :D  :twitch:  :meh: I like the idea, a 8th MS Team dio. You guys are lucky there is not a lot of scratch-building to do for this project. I am looking forward to seeing more progress photos for this diorama.

So, what materials are you using to build the shoulders? I noticed that you replaced the hip's ball joint. what did you use?

Keep up the great work!!! I am happy to see more 1/35 Gundam project...   :-)

Wow, that IS impressive.  So many good things in one diorama.

My favorite so far is the tree + Budda scenery, I think that'd look great!

That is all incredible, and so much work. The tree with the Buddha is just genius, I have to make one of those for myself now, it has a great ikebana feel to it.

Who gets to keep this thing when you're all done?

Capitain to be honnest with you each year, the only one you keep your old dirama was the Japan Expo's Dusbing.
Each one keep  their own kit but for diarama Dusbing.

THIS THINK IS GOING TO BE SICK!!!!!!!!!! :twitch: :twitch:  I love the mods to the 1/35 RX-78.  I have this kit as well and the kneeling pose will really make it dynamic.  Good luck guys on a huge undertaking.  I look forward to seeing this complete.

That's really cool to read you guys. Thank you so much for your feed back.

To answer those who want to know how I am buildng my tree it's quite simple.
I bought the buddha statue last year for my Briegel dio project. But my brigel is not completed so.
Then I found a piece of wood on the beach. I also use electric wires to make a frame. Then took Das pronto (the white stuff) and Grey milliput for the roots and over parts.
I olso used pweter wires for little roots (very easy to work)
For the branches I took elder tree.

Stay tuned
