GlauG:

Thanks! I too have the habit of replacing yellow for gold, unless there are many color contrasting parts to take note of in the kit, or that the gold looks awkward with the color scheme. Examples are Zeta Gundam and RX-78-2. I did the same (replacing yellow for gold color) for my MG Gundam Mk-II ver 2.0 almost 2 years back.

your weapon of choice reminds me of the elite grunt units in Devil May Cry 4, but keeping the lance weapon intact.

Looks a bit awkward at first glance, but a job well done! looks like it's out to outdo epyon in terms of melee with that lance  :D

Looks good with Hi-Nu decals,I used MG Nu decal with my OOB build.
Did you dry brush the joints? What color?

I sprayed Tamiya Silver Leaf first, before spraying on a few coats of Tamiya Smoke (clear black).

That looks really nice. I think it counts as the first HGUC Nu I've seen modeled. The gold looks really good and I think goes along with the white and black a lot better than the standard yellow.

Also, I love the extremely elaborate decals of the mg hi-nu, even if they're far off what was in the original hi-nu design. Plus their silver flows better with the black white and gold than does the bright red of the originals.
Thanks for your comment!

Yea, The decals went off unexpectedly well with the HGUC Nu Gundam. So did the Gold, bringing better contrast to the blue and white. My only digress was the back skirt armor decals; it made the back felt 'busy' with decal placements.

I didn't like the pastel colors on the original Nu Gundam color scheme, so I replaced the yellow/orange with Tamiya Gold. Decals are from MG Hi-Nu and MG Char's Zaku II/Gelgoog from Bandai.

seem to have this recurring problem where the plastic on joints for kits sometimes just fractures or shears, for no obvious reason.

I get that sometimes too, but it's because the parts weren't primed/soaked with too much thinner, usually more so if you hand paint or when your paint/thinner ratio has a high content of thinner.

Maybe adding a dual layer conical shaped for the tip, double the GN particle output? Rather than 1 turbine, make it 2 turbines, a bigger inner one and a smaller outer one for better mobility. I suggest scribing details on a Kotobukiya detail up part to make it appear like so.

Great job so far! Masking the designs must be a pain in the @ss. All the little details gave it a very natural feel when it comes all together.  ^_^

The chest area reminds me of an alternative Astraea chest module (in a good way), but maybe it's just me. The cover over the forehead sensor mod was very UC-ish design on a G00 kit, refreshing! Looking forward for more mods  :D

Any specific customs for it? eg high mobility, melee, long range, multi-purpose etc. Also, what kind of color scheme will you pick up for your Zaku I mod? Love the chest area and the backpack's shape and how it turns out.   :D

oooooh the Type F, it looks verrrry goood

What coloring did you do for the face if you didn't cover it with the "mask?"

I used metallic green and black for the eye portion, white for the face and dark grey mix for the cheeks. It was stolen from a previous Exia build, but I used it to make the F instead. Need to paint it soon.

I haven't finish touching up on the scratched up parts and more slight wearing, but basically I handpainted the entire kit with Gunze acrylics character red, red, custom purple mix, custom grey mix (for the face), custom dark red mix for the feet and Mr Color Metallic Gold. Other areas include Tamiya Gold and Dirty Yellow and Chrome. The weathering's done with Tamiya enamel brown wash and a very diluted Tamiya Dirty Yellow wash.

The decals mostly come from SEED series, with the large '01' on the shoulder from Hi-Nu, and the leg areas from MG Strike Freedom. No mods whatsoever, just direct conversion from the Dengeki Hobby parts.

Are you going to make this kit a static one, or a posable one? So far the details look really good, looking forward to the booster replacements!

Looks decent with the mods, but I prefer my sazabi a little fatter   :P and a little more menacing, especially with a more slopped top helmet covering the monoeye slightly.

Thought of making a kit that resembles a super robot-ish gundam with samurai-ish armor parts, most of the inspiration comes from Daizengar (or Dygenguard) from Super Robot Wars.

I used MG spiegel for the inner frame, 1/100 Blitz for the armor parts, and 1/100 Heavyarms Custom for the head. Still at the planning stages, don't really have a fixed idea on how to make it look like, but currently I'm quite pleased with the outcome for now. need more boosters, and probably a beam shotgun for it. Don't know if I should mount beam sabers onto its forearms. A giant cleaving sword would be on its way, need to get materials for it to be scratchbuilt and mountable onto the backpack.

Sorry for the poor picture quality since it's taken from my handphone camera.

Love what you did to the base and the shoulder armor. Also, how did you mod the beam rifle?

Nice custom paintjob too. feels very Amuro-ish.  :P
