Completed!  :D

Matt 155 Humbrol Olive Drab as base color - pure black oil wash - drybrush with Matt 155+Naples Yellow oil for the highlights - drybrush with Cassel Earth (quite black) and Sepia (more brownish shade in shadows) oils for the shadows.
Metallic parts: Gun Metal as base color - localized pin wash with black oil - touches with Chrome Silver

It's so little!  :(

Bye   :-)

Wow, that is tiny. Very nice work as usual though. I have one of these so this is great inspiration! What's the base from? It's pretty cool.

PS: I split and moved this to the gallery.

Another nice job on a very nice looking mech. And the base really compliments it. That thing is tiny.  :twitch:  Of course, you'd never guess how small it is when looking at the care and detail that went into the finished product.

Great paintjob as usual, and great productivity as well,
I remember seeing the bas in Lucca 2005....
which camera do you use for your pictures?

How cool!  Is that a Warhammer vehicle?

It's a Kobayashi design. You can purchase it (and other K stuff) here. The quality of RM's recasts is superb. They're who I got my monocycle from as well as some ZOE kits.

The base is a recast I made from a Tsutomu Nihei's "Blame" PVC figure

which camera do you use for your pictures?

I choose a Nikon Coolpix 4600: 4 megapixel "only" but it's so small I can put it in my pocket and I found I still need a sight when taking photos outdoor in direct sunlight plus it has a great software and many useful settings for macro studio sessions.

Is that a Warhammer vehicle?

No it isn't but I was forced to use some minia-maker's technique due the scale, in particular on metallics and keep the contrast between light and shadows quite high

When an 1/35 Spandow??

Bye ^^

I'm speechless....

I admit that I like your modelling style, and IMHO it has a very artistic feel to it. You capture the subject extremely well, and this Spandaw model is just fantastic.

I think that if you put an extra effort and added a figure to it (just underneath), it will be even better. And there are lots of 1:48 offerings today.

What a great model.

I just saw this kit on Hyper Weapons 2007.
And Francesco Benedettini's Spandow finishing is excellent!
Makes me want to get the kit to try it out :)

Why not?  ^_^
Here--> http://fichtenfoo.com/forum/index.php?topic=2723.0 you can find some in prog shots before the paint goes on.

Apart some personal add-ons it is quite a fast kit to complete.
No decals included in the bag, of course  :meh:, but in 1/48-1/72 you can find a lot of aircraft decals ;) (mine are from a 1/72 Italeri Corsair).
2 things: the Black resin is a bit confusing at first  and the kit is more than 30 pieces:twitch: that end in 3 big subassemblies: body+legs and arms.
Due the scale I think you will use a little of airbrush and a lot of paintbrush.

Bye  :-)

Ok, I will add a figure.
I have no reference about the Spandow, so I will use the standard figure.
1/48 figures from Tamiya are smaller than the kit pilot so not match.
1/48 Verlinden mechanics are notorious bigger so here where head, shoes and hand are from.

Done!  ;D
Plus a decent wooden base:

I know that shadows on figure are a bit harsh but I think you need strong contrast in little scale.

Thank you for your kind support.
Bye ^^

Hi,
The figure looks great, a gem of a model.
