This was my second MG kit. My brother
bought it for me for Christmas 2001. I took a
while to get this kit to turn out better than
my first MG kit (i later repainted that one).
I like this kit a lot. It’s got an imposing, heavily
armored look to it and is nicely proportioned. I did a little “battle
damage” to the shield. This was done with a nail and a loghter
to create bullet holes.
I shaded the kit with pastels and a brush. I didn’t
feel comfortable using the airbrush to shade it. What was nice about
the pastels in this case was that it gave me a “rougher”
“dirtier” look.
