Shopping Website Design » Green Beginnings Gift Basket Company

Posted on Thursday, June 18, 2009 by Michael Fichtenmayer.

Green Beginnings Gift Basket Company (GBGBCo) needed an online storefront in order to sell their variety of “green”environmentally friendly gift baskets for infants, toddlers and mommies.

I chose the “Zen-Cart” open source store software to create the site as it was not only simple to design for to get them up and running quickly, but also very robust and full of all of the features they had requested. Plus being open-source, there is a plethora of tutorials and support available not only for me to develop the site, but for my clients to utilize and maintain it after I had completed it. GBGBCo also needed a logo in order to brand their website and basket tags and business cards. With the logo and site design, they wanted something that stood-out from other cookie-cutter shops, but had a simple, clean and high-end appearance. Club Website » IPMS Three Rivers Chapter

Posted on Wednesday, February 4, 2009 by Michael Fichtenmayer.

This is the local modeling club which I belong to. It is the Three Rivers Chapter of the International Plastic Modelers Society. The old website was in need of a redesign to make updates and communication between club members easier. To accomplish this I used readily available tools such as WordPress for the bulk of the site which gives multiple people the responsibilities for updating the site as opposed to just one individual, ‘Gallery’ to give the members a place to exchange photos of their own modeling work and from various events, and phpBB Forum which gives the members a place to converse outside of the monthly meetings.

Corporate Website » Premier Medical Associates

Posted on Tuesday, February 3, 2009 by Michael Fichtenmayer.

Premier Medical Associates needed a revised website to replace their old one and it’s outdated information. This was a fairly straightforward project using mostly CSS and Dreamweaver templates to build the bulk of the site. This will allow for easy updating by PMA’s staff. Visit their site »

Company Website » Finleys Fun Centers

Posted on Friday, January 30, 2009 by Michael Fichtenmayer.

Finley’s had an outdated website which was hard to navigate and was in need of a change. I designed their new website to have a fun kid-friendly look and to be easy for parents to find the information they’re looking for. The Flash navigation give this site a whimsical and fun feel to it.

Web Template Design » Mecha Skunk

Posted on Thursday, January 29, 2009 by Michael Fichtenmayer.

Another simple site template that was done for a friend of mine. He wanted to do the site content and online store himself, but needed a design and a template. I created a basic site template and custom graphics that he can use to make changes and new pages for the website. The Skunk was drawn in Flash and loosly based off a monkey image he liked. Company Website » HR Connections

Posted on Wednesday, January 28, 2009 by Michael Fichtenmayer.

Another freelance website for a division of Kentucky’s The Job Shop. With this site, I was given sample pages designed by the client depicting what the client wanted. I worked with the client to clean-up the original design into what is now their live site. Once the design was finalized, all images and content were then supplied by the client. Visit Site »

Company Website » Technical Staffing Solutions

Posted on Monday, January 26, 2009 by Michael Fichtenmayer.

A freelance project for Kentucky-based TSS; a staffing company. I was given mostly free reign over the design of the site and my contact at TSS supplied me with all of the content and photos for the site. I worked within their pre-programmed database system to creat a “skin” to apply to this site giving it a fresh clean and welcoming look.
